Did you make it in time to all of your student’s classes at Back to School Night? Last night was a great way to meet the teachers and hear about the challenging classes that are offered at Carlmont High School.

During 4th period, Principal Crame discussed the importance of donating to the Carlmont Academic Foundation and how support of CAF benefits all Carlmont students.

You also received this flyer from your student’s 4th period teacher. The teachers and administrators realize that a strong foundation at Carlmont is needed to maintain and expand programs for your student. To build a strong foundation and reach our goal of $500,000, CAF asks for your financial investment. CAF’s suggested tax-deductible donation is $1,000 per student. Please know that every gift counts and all donations are valued.

I also want to invite you to join me at the 2nd annual CAF Bagpiper Bash on Sunday, September 20th, 6-10 pm. This fundraising party at Mistral Restaurant promises to be an evening to remember. There will be great food including Mistral’s famous paella, “bash-worthy” cocktails, wine, and beer. Additionally, Halsey and the Hi-Hats, a retro jazz quintet, will be playing during dinner and Sinister Dexter, a funk and party band, will be moving and grooving for dancing into the night. It will be a great evening. Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased online.

Enjoy the school year and see you at the Bash!

  • Investing in Teachers: more supplies = more hands-on student experiences; more training = energized teachers
  • Preparing Students for College and Career: enhanced tutoring, more college-prep classes= better prepared Carlmont graduates; strengthened college counseling program = calmer college application process
