Our school district is maintaining and updating a list of frequently asked questions related to school this fall such as:

  • Why are we starting with distance learning?
  • What will instruction look like in the Sequoia Union High School District this fall? How will it be different from the spring of 2020?
  • How will the District ensure that online education in the fall of 2020 is rigorous?

CAF-Funded Priorities – Where do we Stand?

CAF is the only fundraising organization focused on financially supporting academics at Carlmont High School and we are thrilled to report that CAF raised a total of $917K last fiscal year (ending June 2020).  Your donations allow CAF to fund —

  • Smaller Classes and More Class Choices
  • An Additional Counselor
  • College and Career Assistant
  • Student Support
  • Investments in our Teachers
  • Creative and Enrichment Programs
  • New this year! Flexible Fund

Thanks to unprecedented donations last year, CAF met and exceeded our budget goal and will be able to fully fund the programs we support.  To learn more about what CAF funds, click here, or see CAF’s Fall 2020 flyer about why to donate to CAF! In addition, we are able to create a flexible fund for this year to support distance learning and the needs of our teachers.  CAF expects that some needs will change with distance learning, and we will work with the administration to direct funding to where it will be most effective in this new environment.

Still Have Questions?

If you still have questions about distance learning, please submit them below.  CAF will share your question with the appropriate Carlmont contact and they will get back to you with an answer.  Please be patient, we will get back to you as quickly as possible.  Please note that we will not be fielding questions about the hybrid model, or about bringing students back onto campus in that model.  Carlmont will be reviewing our county’s health status weekly as the first quarter progresses and communicate further details when we are closer to enacting a hybrid model.
