CAF relies on parents, community and businesses to bridge the gap between what is provided by the state and local funding and what they need to be ready in the classroom and ready for life. Choose to donate online by secure eCheck (electronic check) or by credit card.
Donations of any amount help us reach our goal. Donations of $1,200 or more per student are suggested.

Take out your checkbook, and enter you routing & account #s to donate from your bank account. Fees for eCheck donations are a low $0.50!

Use your credit or debit card to make a one-time or recurring donation. A monthly recurring donation is $100/month for a donation of $1,200 ($250/month for a donation of $3,000).

Pledge in the fall during CAF’s Fall Call to Action Annual Giving Campaign and submit payment by March 1, 2023.
Donors now have the ability to cover transaction fees, thereby saving CAF money (2.89% transaction fee for credit cards or $0.50 for eChecks). DID YOU KNOW THAT CAF’S LARGEST EXPENSE IS CREDIT CARD FEES? To save everyone money, we encourage you to donate using an electronic check (eCheck) if you can as a $1,200 credit card donation fee is $35.92 (and $89.49 for a $3,000 donation).

Leadership Circle
Individual or business donations of $3,000 or more are recognized as Leadership Circle member. Contributions can be made as a one time or recurring gift, stock, and include donations matched by a corporate match. To learn more about this program, visit CAF’s Leadership Circle page.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
Donate to CAF from your Fidelity, Schwab, Stifel, Vanguard, or other donor-advised fund (DAF). DAFs are becoming more and more popular options for charitable donations. Learn more about DAFs here.
Because electronic transfers are made without identifying the donor, please alert us in advance about the stock and number of shares you plan to give. You can do so by emailing our Operations team. According to IRS regulations, the date of your gift corresponds to the date it arrives in our possession (for transfers from brokerage account to brokerage account).

Appreciated securities are perhaps the most cost-effective assets to use in making a gift. When you transfer ownership of long-term holdings to CAF you receive a charitable deduction for their full market value — and you incur no capital gains tax (subject to IRS deduction limits).

Donation FAQs
Fiscal vs. Calendar Year
Due to school budgeting cycles, the money that CAF raises every year supports the following school year. Like the school district, CAF’s fiscal year starts on July 1st and ends June 30th rather than coinciding with the calendar year. For example, donations that you make in November 2022 and April 2023 will benefit our students during the 2023-2024 school year. That’s why you may receive a request from us to donate in our new fiscal year even though you already donated during that calendar year. If you have any questions about how much you have donated in either the fiscal or calendar year, feel free to email us at donorservices@carlmontacademicfoundation.org.
Need to change your recurring donation?
If you need to stop or change your recurring donation, email us at donorservices@carlmontacademicfoundation.orgefer with the changes needed. We are happy to help!
Donation Receipts and End of Year Tax Letters
You will receive a donation receipt via email each time your make a donation. Please retain this receipt for your tax files.
